The Packaging Operator is responsible for packaging beer in kegs and cans, CIP, carbonating beer, staging pallets for cooler, operating canning machine, keg machine, assisting with all machine maintenance, keeping accurate inventory records, QA/QC responsibilities along with other packaging operations. We recently upgraded our canning line to a new KHS rotary filler, providing a more automated and faster experience to package beer.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, 21 years of age or older, strong communication skills, flexibility to work a variety of hours to support production schedule. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred. Additionally, must be able to team lift 170 lbs multiple times during a shift and stand/walk during entire shift. Must be able to work in a fast paced team oriented environment. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with mechanical/troubleshooting aptitude and a positive attitude who takes initiative to do what must be done. The standard hours for this position are 10 am – 8 pm Mon-Thurs, but flexibility is a must as production changes can happen.

Packaging Operator – Job Description


We are adding to our Warehouse Team. Responsibilities include daily/weekly logistical and fulfillment support to all brewery operations including the building and loading of all distributor POs for pick up on a multi-weekly basis, in-house POs from taproom, brewing and packaging. Maintain a high level of inventory records and tracking. Organization and cleanliness through all shipping and receiving locations. Assist with packaging operations. Process brewing waste including operation of decanter centrifuge. Drive company truck between Castle Danger Brewery locations.

Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, 21 years of age or older, strong organizational and communication skills, positive attitude and adaptability to change as company grows, clean driving record and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card, previous warehouse or manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Ability to team lift up to 170 lbs multiple times during work shift. The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday from 11 am – 7 pm, with the ability to be flexible as necessary.

Warehouse Specialist – Job Description


We are looking for a flexible person who will fluctuate between brewing and cellaring tasks. Brewing duties include a variety of production tasks to ensure consistently high quality Castle Danger beers are produced including: completing a variety of brewing calculations, following and developing SOPs, yeast handling including cell counts, pitching and cropping yeast, fermentation monitoring and record keeping. Cellar duties include maintaining beer throughout fermentations and the transfer and clarification of beer in preparation for packaging.

Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, previous experience in a production brewery strongly preferred and/or experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, minimum of 21 years of age, knowledge of CIP and sanitizing principles, strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, ability to operate a forklift (will train). Additionally, must be able to stand/walk during entire shift, lift /carry supplies in excess of 85 lbs and team lift up to 170 lbs and reach, bend, stoop, crawl, pull, push, wrangle hoses for an entire shift. Our production team works four ten hour shifts per week. We currently have a second shift and third shift position open. We offer a competitive total compensation package including shift differential pay for working second and third shift.

Cellar – Job Description


We have assembled a Street Team (commonly called Brand Ambassadors in the industry) of individuals who have a passion for craft beer and want to spread the word about Castle Danger beers in the marketplace. Brand Ambassadors are part-time employees who work liquor store samplings, beer festivals, and other beer events. We are looking to add to our Street Team in these areas we serve: Detroit Lakes, Southwest Metro (Shakopee, Chanhassen, Prior Lake, Savage, etc.), West Iron Range (Hibbing, Grand Rapids), and Northwest Wisconsin (Superior, Ashland). The minimum commitment we are seeking is 1 event per month. Benefits include hourly wage, discounted merchandise, and beer.
Duties include: Attending events and pouring samples, sharing information about Castle Danger Brewery and the beer and providing friendly service to represent the brand in a positive manner at all times.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, 21 years of age or older, passion for craft beer, strong communication and customer service skills, reliable transportation to get to events at 4pm during the week and various times during the weekend, ability to stand and remain stationary for long periods of time, ability to lift 55+ pounds and the ability to work independently.
