Seasonal Bartender (seasonal part-time)
Looking for seasonal work? We are hiring for seasonal part-time bartenders on our team. These positions will start in late March to early May and finish at the end of October. Job duties include providing friendly service and efficient sales while pouring Castle Danger Brewery beers to taproom guests, sharing information about CDB and its beers, merchandise sales, and overall cleanliness and security of entire facility.
Requirements: We are looking for candidates with previous serving and/or bartending experience and a passion for craft beer. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, possess excellent customer service skills, have the flexibility to work nights and weekends (2-4 shifts per week with approximately 10-20 hours per week), and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
We are looking for a candidate who will start in the cellar and have the ability to move into brewing at some point in the future. Cellar duties include maintaining beer throughout fermentations and the transfer and clarification of beer in preparation for packaging. Additional responsibilities include: yeast health, CIP and sanitizing fermenters and brite tanks, aiding brewers in tank preparation and yeast pitching, receiving and storing raw materials/supplies, aiding in batch setup and grain milling, keeping extensive records, and lots of cleaning.
Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, previous experience in a production brewery strongly preferred and/or experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, minimum of 21 years of age, knowledge of CIP and sanitizing principles, strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, ability to operate a forklift (will train). Additionally, must be able to stand/walk during entire shift, lift /carry supplies in excess of 85 lbs and team lift up to 170 lbs and reach, bend, stoop, crawl, pull, push, wrangle hoses for an entire shift. Our production team works four ten hour shifts per week. We are seeking candidates with the flexibility to work a variety of hours, including overnights.
