A Grisette is a sub-category of the Saison style. Originating from southern Belgium, the story is that Grisettes were brewed for mine workers while Saisons were for the farm workers. It is typically a dry, refreshing beer that is perfect after a long day of work. Gooseberry Grisette has fruity aromas of gooseberries, white grapes, citrus, and pears. It is light-bodied with mild bitterness and finishes dry and clean. We used gooseberries to tie this beer to the North Shore. It is a truly special beer and will only be around for so long! Come to our taproom and have a glass for a good cause.
